NSE Oluyole Branch was inaugurated in August 2017 as Engr Ademola Agoro was elected the pioneer Chairman of the Branch. The Branch has since hit the ground running to serve its growing membership base. It a sub-branch of the Nigerian society of Engineers.

The Nigerian Society of Engineers was established in 1958 to provide a central organization for Engineers in Nigeria and generally to engage in activities that could be necessary to maintain a strict standard of professional ethics amongst its members, and to advance the interest of engineering profession in Nigeria. In the discharge of its functions, the society is expected to collaborate with industry, commerce and academia and other such national bodies as may be necessary and to present to the government of Nigeria, the views of the Society on subjects of concern or interest of Engineers in Nigeria. The Society has recorded tremendous progress since its’ establishment.

The main objective and pleasure of the current executive is to describe that success and more importantly consolidate it.


Engr. Abdulrasaq Jimoh is a multi- skilled power systems engineer who obtained Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Ilorin and Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical Power System Engineering from University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

He has planned, designed, supervised and constructed rural and semi-urban electrical distribution networks and involved in teams responsible for the design and installation of standalone solar lighting, home based and street lightning in six (6No) South West States of Nigeria (Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo States) when he was at both rural electrification department of defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria, Marina Lagos and present Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria, South West Zone, Osogbo, Osun State.

He is currently a Business Hub Technical Manager in Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, Ibadan proffering solutions to energy and engineering challenges through innovation, maintenance and dedicated project management. He has vast experiences in planning, designing and construction of injection and distribution substations, experience in energy marketing and auditing, electrical network software for modelling, meter tampering detection, energy audit and load management as well audit and in-progress inspection of outsourced projects. He is deeply involved in research of National Load Demand Studies and consultancy services in Energy Management, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Environmental & Social Management Plant (ESIA and ESMP) studies for both green and brown field line and substation project, Line Route Verification (LRV) for green project and preparation of Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for both green field and brown field where there is encroachment along the existing right of way (ROW).

Abdulrasaq Jimoh is a COREN Registered Engineer, member of Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE), Member, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers- (IEEE), Member, Nigeria Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, 2018 member of Nigerian Society of Engineers committee in Engineering Indices and Infrastructure Score Card.

He has served as Assistant General Secretary, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Premier Branch (Ibadan), Oyo State from Aug 2015 – Aug 2017, Membership Secretary- Ibadan Divison of Nigerian Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers from August 2016-August 2018 and current Technical Secretary from August 2018-present and Deputy Chairman Nigerian Institution of Power Engineers- Ibadan Chapter Jul 2018 – Present.

He is married to Engr. Mrs. Bilikisu Adeola Jimoh (Nee Akorede of Imeko, Ogun State), a protection power system engineer and past chairperson of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), Kwara State Chapter and the union is blessed with children.


To be a member of this Branch

The following are guidelines for persons aspiring to become members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, oluyole branch. There are six grades of membership namely: Fellow, Honorary Fellow, Corporate Member, Graduate Member, Associate and Student Member. The education and training required for each grade of membership are listed hereunder:



Courses/Workshops/Conference The Society offer courses and workshops regularly for professional improvement and continuing education of members.
Careers and Employment Advice The Society provides advice to members on job placement and career progression through her Job placement unit.
Liaison with COREN The Society is represented on the Council of COREN and maintains close relations with the body on all issues relating to the engineering profession.

Forum The Society provides a forum for engineers to exchange ideas and update their knowledge on contemporary and future developments in engineering.
Awards and Prizes Grants/Fellowships/Awards and Prizes for papers, research and other contributions to the profession are awarded by the Society from time to time to those who distinguished themselves in the profession.
International Relations The Society represents Nigeria through her membership of the Commonwealth Engineers Council (CEC) and World Federation of Engineering Organization (WFEO).
